As the sea unfolds

Hands quivering
Heart palpitating
Sweat streaming
Flood of tears

Weakened
Perturbed
Angry
Faithful

the state of my heart
As the sea unfolds
Its wings of storm

Holding fast
Remembering those words,
“Will your anchor hold?”

It is all coming down
For the storm increases
The ship almost upturned

Faith gradually finding its way out
Oh for more strength and Grace
It is indeed a great tide

Eyes fixed above,
Heart remembering of His Grace
Tears streaming nonstop
Fingers gradually losing its hold
“Will your anchor hold?”
Comes calling
The saviour’s love, gives rest
And the master’s voice calms it all
“Peace be still”
When at His mercy more faith is gained
Every word of his remembered
The sea unfolds goodness in place of its storm
It is all God’s goodness and love
The ship now captained by the owner of ocean and sea.
